WORKSHOP INFORMATION
ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS LINOPRINT TASTER WORKSHOP
If you've never tried linoprinting before, but fancy having a go then this workshop is for you!
This workshop will guide you through all the processes necessary for you to be able to create your own linoprints at home, from the intial design, through carving the lino, inking the plate and printing onto paper.
We will be looking at the tools we use to make linoprints and you will get to practice mark making with the tools by creating and printing a small sampler, which you will mount to take home as a work of art in its own right. Please do bring an apron or wear old clothing, because although we don't intend to throw ink over you, accidents can happen!

CREATE YOUR OWN SINGLE COLOUR LINOPRINT
The perfect follow up to the Absolute Beginners Linoprint Taster Workshop, this workshop will guide you through all the processes involved in creating a mounted linoprint from an original drawing or photograph etc.
I'll show you how to transfer your design onto the lino plate, then you will carve it, ink it up and print out your design onto paper. You'll then mount it as a work of art to take home and frame.
Cost includes use of tools and all materials provided and please bring an apron or wear old clothing as even water based ink stains fabric!
It would be helpful and save time if you have a design already measuring no more than 220mm x 150mm. This could be a drawing, a photograph, illustration from a magazine, or you could use one of mine. Nothing too intricate though because you will be carving it!
